Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the ReadNotes app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Akshat Rohella (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Information Collection and Use

The Application does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. All data — including your notes, highlights, and reading history — is stored securely via iCloud (CloudKit) and is accessible only to you. No account beyond your Apple ID is required, and no personal data is shared with the Service Provider.

The Service Provider does not collect:

• Email addresses or any contact information
• Account credentials or authentication data
• IP addresses or device identifiers
• User-generated content (notes, voice input, transcripts)

Data Storage

All data created within the Application is stored securely in iCloud via CloudKit, synced across your Apple devices under your Apple ID. The Service Provider has no access to this data. Because data is stored in iCloud, uninstalling the Application does not delete your data — it remains in your iCloud account and will be restored if you reinstall the Application.

Third Party Access

The Application uses PostHog for anonymous usage analytics. Only aggregate, non-personal event data is sent (e.g., feature usage counts) — no names, email addresses, device identifiers, or user-generated content are transmitted. This data is used solely to improve the Application. No data is shared with advertisers or other third parties.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

The Application may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance user experience and provide certain features. Any AI processing that requires sending data to external services will be clearly disclosed to the user. Where possible, AI features operate on-device to preserve your privacy.

Children

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. Since the Application collects no personal information from any user, there is no risk of collecting data from children.

Security

Your data is stored in iCloud via CloudKit and protected by Apple's security infrastructure, including encryption in transit and at rest. Your data security is also governed by your device and Apple ID security measures (e.g., screen lock, two-factor authentication). The Service Provider does not store or transmit your personal data and therefore cannot be responsible for breaches occurring outside the Application.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
